The below provides some general guidance on concepts that your team should know when they begin using PhotoCircle. We highly recommend tailoring any training you provide to your desired workflows and policies.

Account Creation

Workspace Invitation Links

A workspace admin will need to send you a workspace invitation from the Workspace Admin Console. When you receive this email, tap the link to set up your account. Be aware that this link is not the same as a Join Link for joining Circles. After doing so, you can sign in within the PhotoCircle app on iOS & Android and PhotoCircle for Web.

Signing In

The Sign In screen has multiple options for authenticating your account. These include signing in with Email/Password, Microsoft, Google, and Apple. Depending on your workspace’s settings, you may be required to use Microsoft or Google to sign in. If you attempt to use another path, you will be prompted to use the required authentication provider.

Joining Circles

There are four ways to join an existing circle.

Join Group Circles

If you have been added to a Group with your workspace, you can tap the + button on the main screen and select Join Group Circle. All the circles in your group hierarchy will be available to join via this list. Using the search bar in the app will also point you to Circles in your Group hierarchy that contain your search term.

Join Links

Ask a member of the circle to send you a Join Link. Tap the link, and you’ll be joined to the circle.

Scan a Join Code

These QR codes are the Join Link in black & white dot form. If you’re physically together with a member of a circle, they can tap the Invite link to show the Join Code, which you can scan with your phone’s camera.

In App Invitation

Once you are in a Circle with another user, they can invite you to other Circles in the PhotoCircle app. When invited, you will see a banner in your PhotoCircle app that you have a pending invitation.

Creating Circles

Tap the + button on the main screen and select Create Circle. You’ll be prompted to enter a Title, an Internal Identifier seen only by users in your workspace (e.g., fellow employees), and a group for which the circle to reside.

Adding Photos & Videos

Tap the Add Photo & Video button inside the circle to contribute photos and videos. On iOS, make sure to provide full permissions to the photo picker. Otherwise, you’ll need to go through a two-step process of 1) choosing which photos in your photo library can be seen by the photo picker; and 2) selecting those photos to be added to your circles.
